How To Access Your PC Hard Drive With Your Smartphone
The first thing to do is to share your PC hard drive. To do this, right click on the hard drive you want to access and navigate to Properties. Select Advanced sharing and check Share this folder. Click OK to apply the changes. Once that’s done, an icon will appear on the drive to indicate that it has been shared.
Now it’s time to access the shared drive on your smartphone. This will be done with the file manager app on your phone. I use the ES File Explorer.
Now open ES File Explorer and tap on the three lines at the top left corner of the app. Navigate and tap on Network and select LAN.
Tap on Scan to perform a scan for your PC. If your PC and smartphone are connected to the same network, you’ll see your PC. Tap on it and enter your PC username and password.
After entering your username and password, tap on your PC hard drive to access its files on your smartphone. You can copy files from the hard drive to your phone and vice versa.
